And make the earth devour her own sweet brood;

Pluck the keen te from the fierce tiger's jaws,

And burn the long--liv'd phoenix in her blood; 4

Make glad and sorry seasons as thou fleets,

And do whate'er thou wilt,swift--footed Time,

To the wide world and all her fading sweets;

But I forbid thee one most heinous crime, 8

O carve not with thy hours my love's fair brow,

Nor draw no lines there with thine antique pen.

Him in thy course untainted do allow,

For beauty's pattern to succeeding men. 12

Yet do thy worst,old Time;despite thy wrong,

My love shall in my verse r live young.

使季节在你飞逝时或悲或喜;

这大千世界和它易谢的芳菲;

或用古老的铁笔乱画下皱纹;

My Mistress' Eyes are Nothing like the Sun

My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun;

Coral is far more red than her lips' red;

If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun;

If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head.

I he seen roses damasked, red and white,

But no such roses see I in her cheeks;

And in some perfumes is there more delight

Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks.

I love to hear her speak, yet well I know

That music hath a far more pleasing sound;

I grant I nr saw a goddess go;

My mistress when she walks treads on the ground.

And yet, by heen, I think my love as rare

As any she belied with false compare.

也远远没有赛过珊瑚的红唇;

可玫瑰的颜色在她面颊上全无踪影;

Shakespeare Sonnet 12

When I do count the clock that ls the time,

And see the bre day sunk in hideous night;

When I behold the violet past prime,

And sable cs all silver'd o'er with white:

When lofty trees I see barren of lees,

Which erst from heat did canopy the herd,

And summer's green, all girded up in shees,

Born on the bier with white and bristly beard;

Then of thy beauty do I question make,

That thou among the wastes of time must go,

Since sweets and beauties do themselves forsake,

And die as fast as they see others grow;

And nothing 'gainst Time's scythe can make defence

Se breed, to bre him when he takes thee hence.

青丝的卷发遍洒着皑皑白雪;

它不久前曾荫蔽喘息的牛羊;

带着坚挺的白须被舁上殓床;

眼看着别人生长自己却枯萎;

My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun; My mistress's eyes are nothing like the sun;

Coral is far more red than her lips' red; Coral is far more red than her lips;

If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun; If snow is white, then her breasts are a brownish gray;

If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head. If hairs are like wires, hers are black and not golden.

I he seen roses damask'd, red and white, I he seen damask roses, red and white [streaked],

But no such roses see I in her cheeks; But I do not see such colors in her cheeks;

And in some perfumes is there more delight And some perfumes give more delight

Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks. Than the horrid breath of my mistress.

I love to hear her speak, yet well I know I love to hear her speak, but I know

That music hath a far more pleasing sound; That music has a more pleasing sound.

I grant I nr saw a goddess go; I've nr seen a goddess walk;

My mistress, when she walks, treads on the ground: But I know that my mistress walks only on the ground.

And yet, by heen, I think my love as rare And yet I think my love as rare

As any she belied with false compare. As any woman who has been misrepresented by ridiculous comparisons.

My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun

Coral is far more red than her lips' red:

If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun;

If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head.

i he seen roses damask'd, red and white,

but no such roses see i in her cheeks;

and in some perfumes is there more delight

than in the breath that from my mistress reeks.

i love to hear her speak, yet well i know

that music hath a far more pleasing sound:

i grant i nr saw a goddess go,

my mistress, when she walks, treads on the ground:

and yet, by heen, i think my love is rare

as any she belied with false compare.
